Today, this tradition continues with the SC680. It’s a power clamp meter that’s perfect for today’s state-of-the-art HVACR systems as well as older, legacy systems. It’s also precise enough to take readings from small circuitry in mini-splits or on larger commercial units. It’s packed with everything you need to install, service and troubleshoot any HVACR system.

Seamlessly works with Job Link.

The SC680 sends your electrical measurements directly to the Job Link® System mobile app. Just tuck the meter behind a closed blower door and view the current measurement on your mobile device. It also helps determine system efficiency by directly measuring power consumption and troubleshoots mini-split systems with its included Molex tips. 

More ports and more flexibility.

Featuring dual Type K temperature ports, the SC680 measures entering/exiting air temperatures. It also checks frequency (Hz) directly with its clamp jaw. If you need to reach cramped mini-split connectors, use the included RCT2 probe tips for voltage and resistance measurements.

Large, bright display.

Read both voltage and amperage at the same time on the large dual display. Also, since we included a swivel-head clamp, you’ll be able to easily see your amperage readings no matter what angle it’s clamped on.

  • Does it have a fuse I can change?

    • No, the new meters do not use a fuse anymore. They use a PTC as it is faster and safer for the technician.

  • What does diSC mean?

    • If dISC is displayed, the capacitor is not discharged completely.

  • What is NCV?

    • Use NCV to check for 24VAC from a thermostat or live voltage up to 600VAC. Always test on a known live source before using. A three segment graph and RED LED will display the presence of voltage. The audible beep increases from intermittent to continuous as intensity of field (EF) increases.
