Fieldpiece Instruments' New HS33
Digital Stick Meter for HVAC/R

Fieldpiece Instruments introduces
the HS33, a digital stick meter specifically designed for HVAC/R technicians.
Snap on any of Fieldpiece’s optional accessory heads to measure most parameters
needed by the HVAC/R technician. Accessory heads can also be connected to
the meter using the removable-tip test leads for “remote” testing.

is the fifth major new product we have developed for the HVAC/R technician.
Based on early feedback from customers, it’s our best!" said Rey Harju,
President of Fieldpiece Instruments.
In
addition to volts and ohms, the HS33 measures AC amps, temperature and capacitance
for motor start/run caps. A slide-on current clamp (model ACH) and wrap-tab
thermocouple (model ATB1) is included. The “wrap-tab” makes it
easy to store the thermocouple wire.
Add
optional accessory heads to measure CO, CO2, RH%, WB temperature, dew point,
temperature (dual contact, non-contact, air), microns of mercury (vacuum gage),
inches of water column (manometer), and microamps.
For
convenience, the HS33 includes a non-contact AC voltage sensor that senses
voltage from AC line power down to 24VAC for thermistat power. The DMM sounds
a beeper and lights up a big, bright LED. Two other LEDs work in conjunction
with the beeper to warn the user of high voltage and to indicate continuity.

The
HS33 includes the MIN/MAX function, which stores the highest and lowest reading.
Use this with the accessory heads for recording the min and max during a test.
Test
leads are made of fine stranded silicone insulated wire for flexibility. The
probes can easily be stored in the back of the meter and the wires wrapped
around the meter for fast and convenient storage. The meters are shipped with
the leads wrapped around the meter in this fashion so the user can see how
to store them.
The
HS33 is available immediately, for $149 trade price, and can be purchased
from a Fieldpiece distributor near you. The meter comes with a current clamp
head, alligator clips, silicone test leads with removeable tips, and a padded
4-pocket nylon case.
