Read Amps and Volts at the Same Time

Calif., Feb. 21, 2007-- -- Fieldpiece Instruments, manufacturer of professional-grade
instruments for HVAC/R field service, introduces the SC50 Series Dual-Display
Clamp Multimeters. The models SC53 (pictured) and SC52 allow HVAC/R field
service technicians to measure amps and volts as well as other parameters
at the same time.

These meters are the latest addition to the broad Fieldpiece clamp meter family
and are designed specifically for use in the HVAC/R industry. They feature
a wire-grabbing jaw that makes it easy to separate and capture a wire from
a tight bundle.
The SC53 features Capacitance and Temperature measurement and includes a k-type
thermocouple, which plugs directly into the meter. There's no adapter to lose
and more importantly, plugging directly into the meter gives better temperature
compensation and more accurate readings than meters that use adapters. The
SC52 features Microamps DC and a Diode Test. Both meters measure volts and
amps at the same time, as well as non-contact voltage down to 24V for thermostats,
and measurements for continuity and ohms. The amp clamp display and the meter
display feature independent on-off, auto-off and hold functions.
Both the SC52 and the SC53 include a carrying case and test leads. The suggested trade price for the SC53 is $99 U.S. The SC52 trade price is $79 U.S. Complete SC50 Series specifications, literature and operator's manuals are available on the company's website www.fieldpiece.com.
