NEW! DL2 DATA LOGGER FROM FIELDPIECE

Records Data from All Fieldpiece Accessory Heads

Fieldpiece Instruments introduces the Expandable Data Logger, Model DL2, a versatile data logger that records mV signals from any Fieldpiece accessory head automatically or manually. Like the other expandable Fieldpiece products, the DL2 is a novel and convenient handheld tool that is easy-to-use and economical to own.

"This is the unit that brings all our products together. With the addition of the DL2, the field service tech can use any of our accessory heads any way he wants. He can put a head on a meter, use a head as a stand-alone instrument with the EHDL1, or connect the accessory head to the DL2 and record any parameter over a period of time. Using multiple DL2s, he can record several parameters at once. Now that’s versatility!" said Rey Harju, President of Fieldpiece Instruments.

The DL2 represents a giant leap on the HVAC test instrument market displacing data loggers that are constrictive by design. Fieldpiece's data logger will not only test a variety of different parameters, it also records data automatically, manually or both at the same time. Press the RECORD button at any time to add a reading to the database.

For automatic measurements, using the internal real-time time clock, the field service tech programs the start time and time between measurements. It's a simple, easy-to-learn process. Once the data is collected, it can be displayed on the LCD screen using the scroll and MIN/MAX/AVG buttons. Or, it can be downloaded to a PC using the included software and cable. After it has been downloaded, the data can be placed and manipulated using any spreadsheet. Record for more than a month at a time without changing batteries.

The DL2 records measurement, time, parameter and multiplier for up to 20,000 data points. Data will be displayed on a large, built-in LCD screen or on the computer screen. Changing the rotary dial position can start new data sets. “Old” data sets will be kept until manually cleared.

An example of a manual reading might be to measure the air velocity of a grill at nine different spots and then display the average. Or, make five consecutive readings, labeling each with a different PARA notation. The data logger will record the measurement, the time of the measurement, and the PARA label.

Optional accessory heads currently available from Fieldpiece measure the following parameters: temperature (air, pipe, griddle, dual, non-contact IR), RH%, wet bulb, dew point, AC amps, DC amps, high voltage, vacuum (micron) gage, manometer, CO, CO2, air velocity, true RMS voltage and current, neutral to ground voltage, and milliohms,

The DL2 is available immediately, for $199 trade price, and can be purchased from a Fieldpiece distributor near you. For multiple simultaneous channels, using several data loggers with synchronized real-time clocks can be less expensive and more convenient than a muti-channel data logger.

Fieldpiece products are sold exclusively through authorized Fieldpiece distributors.
