Fieldpiece AMN2 Manometer Accessory Head Offers Precision Measurement of Static Pressure

Calif., October 9, 2001 -- Fieldpiece Instruments has introduced model
AMN2 Manometer Accessory head. It has the ranges to measure gas pressure and
the resolution needed to measure static pressure. Originally designed as a
gas pressure measuring instrument, the performance of the AMN2 turned out
to be so good that it can also be used also as a static pressure measuring
instrument.
Ideal for HVACR field service technicians, the AMN2 can determine if the pressure coming into the house or out of the regulator are OK. The AMN2 measures gas pressure up to 20" water column (WC) with a resolution of 0.1" WC when used with any Fieldpiece digital multimeter. In addition, the unit measures both positive and negative pressure, which is used for measurement on vacuum control lines.
In the static pressure mode, the unit can measure up to 2"WC with resolution to 0.010"WC, which enables a technician to measure small differences in air (or static) pressure.
"Now any technician can afford to conveniently measure static pressure because he can do it with his gas pressure measuring instrument," says Rey Harju of Fieldpiece.
Another helpful feature is that, like all Fieldpiece accessory heads, the AMN2 easily snaps onto any Fieldpiece "stick meter", and can be used as a stand-alone manometer when connected with the Fieldpiece EHDL1 Electronic Accessory Handle. It can be used with all Fieldpiece DMMs and most other DMMs when connected with the AHDL1 accessory head handle. All that’s necessary is a mV range with 0.1mV resolution and industry standard jacks.
The AMN2 Manometer Accessory Head is priced at $69 which includes the hose and fitting.
