What is It?
The Wireless HVAC Guide® System Analyzer will reduce call-backs by giving you a wide variety of tests to diagnose HVACR systems and lower your customer's energy bills. It walks you step-by-step through each test procedure to make your job easier, faster and better.
When coupled with the new ET2W Wireless Transmitter (included with every HG3), the HG3 system turns every Fieldpiece Accessory Head into a wireless device, capable of sending measurements from up to 100 feet away. So you can take up to 13 measurements (12 wirelessly and one directly on the HG3) all at once to give you an live snapshot of the entire system.
How Does it Work?
|
Step 1: Select a Test on the Dial
Select the test on the dial that you want to perfom.
|
 |
|
Step 2: Enter Data on the INPUT FORM (Wirelessly or Directly)
The INPUT FORM is displayed when a test is selected. Each input line is a step in the test. Fill out each line using Fieldpiece products, drop down menus or manual entry.
|

Superheat INPUT FORM
|
|
Step 3: View Results on the OUTPUT FORM
The OUTPUT FORM displays the results of the calculations and references this HVAC Guide Instruction Manual for each test. Recommended actions are displayed to fix problems or confirm system is running properly.
|

|
Step 4: Save, Download and Print Test
Tests can be saved onto the HVAC Guide. It then can be connected to a computer to download the tests and print. All data and information from the INPUT FORM and the OUTPUT FORM can be printed.

WIRELESS Testing
Attach any Fieldpiece Accessory Head to the ET2W to view or log measurements on the HG3 in real-time. The HG3 has the capability to wirelessly and simultaneously read up to 12 wireless signals. A 13th accessory head can be attached directly to the HG3 to give you the ability to record 13 parameters at one time.
| Using the ET2W Wireless Transmitter -- Slide the Fieldpiece Accessory Head onto the ET2W. Measurements are taken by the Accessory Head and sent wirelessly to the HG3 from up to 100 feet away. If greater distances are needed, the ET2W can be put in repeater mode with additional ET2Ws. |

Press "SYNC" on the HG3 and ET2W for Wireless Communication

Test procedures are included for Superheat, Subcooling, Combustion Analysis, Target Evap Exit Temperature (temperature drop across the evaporator coil), CFM (air balancing), CheckMe!® Evaluation and Service light set up are built into the HVAC Guide to streamline each test.
The HVAC Guide® System Analyzer also has a data logging switch position to record up to 13 measurements at one time. With the Display switch position view one parameter by connecting any Fieldpiece Accessory Heads directly or wirelessly. Do it right the first time, do it faster, easier, more completely, and avoid call-backs in the process
Features and Benefits
The HG3 holds up to 200 tests on its internal memory, so you can easily show your customers what's going on with their system, and what the recommended fixes are. You can even have them review the screen with you in real-time while you're receiving measurement data wirelessly.
In addition, all tests can be downloaded to a personal computer so you can not only print out your tests results for your customers, but you can also store all the data to reference the next time you are called to the job site.
You can also easily and accurately perform CFM tests because the HG3 does your calculations for your, automatically. The HG3 will calculate the average, max, and min air velocity for up to 13 grilles, then calculate the Total Return and Total Supply for the entire system.

Carbon Monoxide Detector Accessory - ACM3
The ACM3 is a carbon monoxide detector (CO detector) accessory head for use with our modular instruments that measures CO in parts per million (ppm). Its electrochemical sensor is fast enough for walk-around tests. Features and benefits include: Advanced, three-pin sensor that measures 0 to 1000 ppm CO; Calibrate / Zero ACM3 to ambient quickly with the zero calibration pot under the grey rubber strip; Auto Power-Off (APO); Use optional pump (AOXP2) for remote / flue gas testing.

Combustion Check Accessory - AOX2
The AOX2 is combustion check accessory head that measures % O2 (percent oxygen) and flue gas temperature. It calculates % CO2 (percent carbon dioxide) for two fuel types: gas and oil. Technicians use the AOX2 to sample flue gas on serviced or newly installed equipment. It eliminates the costly, extra tests found on full-function combustions analyzers that technicians often don’t use or need. Match your results to specifications on the data plate or in the manufacturer’s manual to quickly tune furnaces, boilers and more.

Superheat and Subcooling Accessory for Air Conditioning - ASX14
The Fieldpiece Superheat and Subcooling Accessory for Air Conditioning, model ASX14, measures suction line, or low side, line temperature and pressure. It then calculates actual superheat in real time using built in P/T charts. It also measures liquid line, or high side, line temperature and pressure, and calculates actual subcooling. Use it to get actual superheat on R-22 and R-410A fixed orifice systems and actual subcooling on TXV / TEV regulated systems. Use the “T” fitting to charge to actual superheat or subcooling by putting the ASX14 in-line between your refrigerant bottle and the system.

400A Amp Clamp Accessory - ACH4
The ACH4 current clamp is a small size accessory head for quickly reading up to 400 AC amps. The new claw feature at the top of the clamp allows for quickly picking out the wire you need to measure and isolating it in the clamp. Once the current carrying conductor is isolated, the amperage is converted to mVAC for reading directly on the meter. The ACH4 works with the Fieldpiece “Stick” meter, EHDL1 Electronic Handle, DL3 Data Logger, the HVAC Guide® System Analyzer or any other digital multimeter (with mVAC range) connected by Fieldpiece ADLS2 detachable silicone leads or AHDL1 handle adapter.
