What is It?
The HVAC Guide® System Analyzer, model HG2, is the next generation hand-held diagnostic instrument that guides field technicians step-by-step through the most common and important HVAC system tests including: Target Evaporator Exit Temperature (delta T, evaporator drop, drop across the coil), Target Superheat, Superheat, Subcooling, Combustion Analysis and now the CheckMe!® test.

How Does it Work?

The technician enters data on the INPUT FORM using Fieldpiece accessory heads or by manually inputting measurements from traditional tools such as a pressure gauge. Once the INPUT FORM is filled-in completely and the Customer ID entered, the technician presses Output. The OUTPUT FORM is displayed instantly, providing results of the test and possible corrective actions to take as well as references to the HVAC Guide® System Analyzer Manual for further information.
The CheckMe!® test works the same way. The technician enters grant information and inputs data for several more parameters, including amp draw, using Fieldpiece accessory heads or their own set of instruments. The results, based on information and data recorded for over 700,000 real-world HVAC systems, are displayed on the screen along with corrective actions until the unit passes the test. CheckMe!® contractors then review the results with Proctor Engineering to fulfill the program requirements. For more information, please check out the Product Flyer link at the top of the page.
The HVAC Guide software compiles all of the system info into a spreadsheet format that you can customize with your company logo and print off as a work order to leave with your customer via your PC.

Competitive Advantages
Other manufacturers have been trying to develop an all-in-one system analyzer for years with little success. Even newer models in direct competition with the HVAC Guide® System Analyzer today are limited to . We continue to work side-by-side with technicians in the field to develop our instruments. The HVAC Guide® System Analyzer works so well because it's easy to operate and is based on our unique modular expandability design concept perfected over the past 18 years.
- MULTIPLE PARAMETERS: Technicians get four (4) tests in one instrument: Target Evaporator Exit Temperature, Superheat, Subcooling, and Combustion Analysis.
- LOWER COST: Competitive all-in-one units are far more expensive. In fact, field technicians can purchase the HVAC Guide® System Analyzer and of all of the optional accessory heads for less than the price of one (1) combustion analyzer from the competition.
- ERGONOMIC DESIGN: The HVAC Guide® System Analyzer fits easily in your hand because it uses accessory heads with individual sensors to complete tests. Competitive all-in-one testers are bulky because they must include all of the sensors to complete multiple tests in the same instrument.
- MADE FOR TECHS WITH TECHS: As with all of our instruments, the HVAC Guide® System Analyzer was developed with you, the HVAC/R technician in mind.

Carbon Monoxide Detector Accessory - ACM3
The ACM3 is a carbon monoxide detector (CO detector) accessory head for use with our modular instruments that measures CO in parts per million (ppm). Its electrochemical sensor is fast enough for walk-around tests. Features and benefits include: Advanced, three-pin sensor that measures 0 to 1000 ppm CO; Calibrate / Zero ACM3 to ambient quickly with the zero calibration pot under the grey rubber strip; Auto Power-Off (APO); Use optional pump (AOXP2) for remote / flue gas testing.

Combustion Check Accessory - AOX2
The AOX2 is combustion check accessory head that measures % O2 (percent oxygen) and flue gas temperature. It calculates % CO2 (percent carbon dioxide) for two fuel types: gas and oil. Technicians use the AOX2 to sample flue gas on serviced or newly installed equipment. It eliminates the costly, extra tests found on full-function combustions analyzers that technicians often don’t use or need. Match your results to specifications on the data plate or in the manufacturer’s manual to quickly tune furnaces, boilers and more.

Superheat and Subcooling Accessory for Air Conditioning - ASX14
The Fieldpiece Superheat and Subcooling Accessory for Air Conditioning, model ASX14, measures suction line, or low side, line temperature and pressure. It then calculates actual superheat in real time using built in P/T charts. It also measures liquid line, or high side, line temperature and pressure, and calculates actual subcooling. Use it to get actual superheat on R-22 and R-410A fixed orifice systems and actual subcooling on TXV / TEV regulated systems. Use the “T” fitting to charge to actual superheat or subcooling by putting the ASX14 in-line between your refrigerant bottle and the system.

400A Amp Clamp Accessory - ACH4
The ACH4 current clamp is a small size accessory head for quickly reading up to 400 AC amps. The new claw feature at the top of the clamp allows for quickly picking out the wire you need to measure and isolating it in the clamp. Once the current carrying conductor is isolated, the amperage is converted to mVAC for reading directly on the meter. The ACH4 works with the Fieldpiece “Stick” meter, EHDL1 Electronic Handle, DL3 Data Logger, the HVAC Guide® System Analyzer or any other digital multimeter (with mVAC range) connected by Fieldpiece ADLS2 detachable silicone leads or AHDL1 handle adapter.
